Management Accountant

Reports to: Financial Controller 

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum

Hours: 40 p/w

Location: Leeds

Job description

Myshon strives to provide a professional accounting service to its clients as part of the wider offering. To strengthen our ability to deliver and exceed our client’s expectations we are looking for a Management Accountant. The successful applicant will the first point of call for their clients, offering an in-depth knowledge of their accounts and delivering quality management information and reporting. They will also be a trusted lieutenant to the Financial Controller and support the continued professionalisation of the finance department.

We’re looking for someone with an appetite to learn and develop who is client focussed, holds themselves to high standards and isn’t afraid to get stuck in. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can pick up distinct tasks and get them done and done well.

What you'll have:

  • Own and maintain the general ledger for specific client accounts
  • Undertake the production and timely issuance of high-quality management accounts and insightful management information for our clients
  • Work with external stakeholders through audit and budgeting processes
  • Challenge and drive improvements in existing processes and practices
  • Take on other tasks as required and as resources allow

Experience and Qualification

  • Qualified / part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Experience of calculating and posting accruals, prepayments and owning/running a general ledger
  • Experience of producing management accounts

 

Desirable

  • Microsoft Dynamics NAVision experience
